Tan had always dreamed of wearing her mum’s wedding dress on her own wedding day. After a few minor alterations, Tan fulfilled her childhood dream, walking the dress down the aisle for a second time.
Tan + John’s wedding was held on John’s family property in Bowral and featured lush manicured gardens, a running water feature and rose arch way, beneath which the couple exchanged their vows. Everything about the day was personal and precious. For the photo session we piled into the car with John’s old family dogs, and drove up the mountain at the back of the property. We arrived at the top just as the sun was setting it’s golden light, and I photographed these lovers as they wandered through the forest bare feet with their dogs.
